About Us

Whispering Pines Animal Crematorium is owned and operated by John Silva. As a horse owner and someone who has spent a lifetime around horses, he understands the love that horse owners have for their equine companions. He knows the sorrow first-hand, and he also knows the complications that surround a horse's death...complications that most horse owners never even think about until it's too late. 

In some states, it is now illegal to bury a horse or on your own property, and community burials are becoming scarce.  More horses and fewer options led John to his career in animal cremation.

Whispering Pines Animal Crematorium is a member of the International Association of Pet Cemeteries and Crematoriums (IACP), so everything from emissions to operations is by the book.  All employees are certified for operating the equipment and documenting each cremation.  IACP Membership means more than state regulation.  It means, we do it the right way.

Whether a horse is a $100,000 champion or a backyard pet, Whispering Pines will help the owner give the horse the same dignity and humane treatment that the horse was shown throughout its life.

Whispering Pines Animal Crematorium accepts all animals, large and small, for cremation.
